How to use these prompts

Copy the prompt, fill in the brackets with your specifics, and paste into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. If the first output is stiff, follow up with: 'Rewrite in a more casual UK tone, cut every corporate phrase, keep it under [X] words.'

Social captions

'Act as a copywriter for a [industry] business in [town]. Write 3 Instagram caption options for a photo of [what's in the photo]. Casual UK tone, no hashtags, no emojis, under 60 words, include one soft call-to-action.'

Cold email reply

'Reply to this cold email. Be polite but firm — we're not interested and want to be removed from the list. 3 sentences maximum, no apology, no 'unfortunately'. Email pasted below: [paste].'

Google Ad copy

'Write 5 responsive search ad headlines (max 30 characters each) and 3 descriptions (max 90 characters) for a [service] business targeting [town]. Focus on [main benefit] and include a clear call-to-action. No exclamation marks.'

Product description

'Write a product description for [product]. Audience: [customer]. Tone: [tone]. Include a 1-line hook, 3 bullet-point benefits, a specifications table, and a 2-sentence emotional close. Total under 150 words.'

Blog post outline

'Outline a 1200-word blog post on [topic] targeting the keyword [keyword]. Audience: [reader]. Include an intro, 5 H2 sections with 2 H3 subpoints each, a FAQ section with 4 questions, and a conclusion. Match the tone of these examples: [paste 2-3 of your posts].'
